Dr. Nick Turner, DMD, MS

Dr. Turner, a Birmingham native, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University in 2005. Following in the footsteps of his father, uncle, and grandfather, he attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2009. He then completed his Orthodontic Specialty residency at UAB, finishing in April 2012.

Dr. Turner and his wife, Penny, who grew up in Enterprise, AL, have three wonderful kids: Reese (7), Will (5), and Ben (2). They are active members of First Baptist Church in Enterprise. When he’s not at the office, Dr. Turner loves spending time with family and friends, hitting the golf course, and cheering on Auburn football!

Dr. Brett Wood, DMD, MS

Dr. Wood earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. After completing his residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Birmingham, he went on to receive his Master of Clinical Science in Orthodontics from UAB.

Dr. Wood met his wife, Kate, who’s originally from Orlando, while they were both in residency, and they tied the knot in April 2013. They now live in Selma, AL — Dr. Wood's hometown — where they stay busy with their church and community. With three kids, Aimee (8), George (6), and Charlie (3), Dr. Wood loves spending time with his family, traveling with Kate, cheering on Auburn football, and enjoying the great outdoors when he’s not in the office!

Dr. Jeremy Scarpate, DMD, MS

Dr. Scarpate earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University and followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming an officer in the United States Air Force. After finishing dental school at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, he completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, graduating in 2014. He reached the rank of Colonel before retiring from the Air Force to join TW Orthodontics. Dr. Scarpate is a board-certified orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Scarpate grew up all over the United States as a military kid, but he calls Florida and Alabama his “adopted” home states. He married his wife, Melissa, a Midland City native, before their adventures took them around the world. They have four kids: Julia (19), and triplets Jack, Mason, and Lizzy (all 10). Outside the office, Dr. Scarpate loves spending time with his family, cheering on his kids, staying active, and rooting for his Auburn Tigers and the Arsenal Gunners!

Community Involvement

At TW Orthodontics, giving back is a big part of who we are, and we love partnering with local organizations to make a positive impact! We’re proud to support our local Chamber of Commerce and be active members of this amazing community.

We also offer our yearly TW Orthodontics Scholarship, helping bright, young minds in our area achieve their dreams. We believe in investing in the future, one smile at a time!
