Services We Provide

We provide a comprehensive suite of orthodontic services in Montgomery, Alabama to patients of all ages.

Two-Phase Treatment

Children should see an orthodontist around age 7 when the permanent teeth begin to erupt. Starting orthodontic treatment at this age means more effective results in the adolescent years. We recommend two-phase treatment for most of our patients. Two-phase treatment includes monitoring and correcting issues before they become serious. The second phase, completed during the teen years, consists of orthodontic appliances.

Traditional Braces

Traditional braces come in metal or clear varieties. Regardless of the materials used, both braces work the same way. The orthodontist cements brackets to the teeth and places bands on the molars. An archwire runs through the brackets, connected by elastics. The orthodontist gradually straightens the teeth using regular adjustments.

Invisalign® Clear Aligners

Invisalign® is a popular system that straightens teeth with no visible braces. The orthodontist creates a set of clear plastic aligners that gradually shift the teeth into the best position. Invisalign® is popular among older teens and adults who want to straighten their teeth but avoid the stigma attached to braces.

3M Clarity™ Aligners

3M Clarity™ aligners are similar to Invisalign® in function, but they use a more sophisticated digital planning system and can move teeth with more precision.

TMD Treatment

TMD, also known as TMJ, stands for temporomandibular joint disorder. With TMD, a patient's jaw joints become inflamed and cause trouble chewing, speaking, yawning, and swallowing. Orthodontists can treat this painful condition by prescribing custom oral appliances that keep the patient's jaw in the correct position.

Retainers

After completing treatment with braces or clear aligners, orthodontic patients must wear their retainers as directed. Their teeth may return to their original positions if they do not wear retainers.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Our practice also offers oral surgery services. Sometimes orthodontic treatment is not enough to realign teeth and jaws, in which case surgery becomes necessary. We can remove impacted wisdom teeth, treat cleft palate, and place dental implants.
